A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO ACCEPT $336,000 OF ADDITIONAL FUNDING FROM THE COMMONWEALTH OF KENTUCKY TRANSPORTATION CABINET FOR CONTINUATION OF THE DESIGN PHASE FOR THE LOUISVILLE LOOP MIDDLETOWN-EASTWOOD TRAIL BICYCLE AND PEDESTRIAN PROJECT ADMINISTERED BY THE METRO PARKS DEPARTMENT.

WHEREAS, the Metro Government wishes to enter into this agreement through the Metro Parks Department.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE LEGISLATIVE COUNCIL OF THE LOUISVILLE/JEFFERSON COUNTY METRO GOVERNMENT (THE COUNCIL) AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I: The Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into an agreement with the Commonwealth of Kentucky Transportation Cabinet to accept additional funding of $336,000 for the continuation of the design phase for the Louisville Loop Middletown-Eastwood Trail Bicycle and Pedestrian facilities that includes a shared-use path along US 60 from Beckley Station Woods Drive to Eastwood Cut-off.
SECTION II: This Resolution shall take effect upon its passage and approval.
