TITLE
AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING $9,000 AS FOLLOWS: $6,000 FROM DISTRICT 21 AND $3,000 FROM DISTRICT 5 NEIGHBORHOOD DEVELOPMENT FUNDS, THROUGH THE OFFICE OF MANAGEMENT AND BUDGET, TO CHILDREN HAVE OPTIONS IN CHOOSING EXPERIENCES, INC. FOR “DARE TO DREAM” SPORTS LEADERSHIP MENTORING PROGRAM AND EDUCATIONAL SELF HELP GROUP.

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE LEGISLATIVE COUNCIL OF THE LOUISVILLE/JEFFERSON COUNTY METRO GOVERNMENT (THE COUNCIL) AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I: The sum of $9,000 is hereby appropriated as follows: $6,000 from District 21 and $3,000 from District 5 Neighborhood Development Funds, through the Office of Management and Budget, to Children Have Options In Choosing Experiences, Inc. for “Dare to Dream” Sports Leadership Mentoring Program and Educational Self Help Group.
SECTION II: The Council has determined the funds requested in this Ordinance will be expended for a public purpose.
SECTION III: This grant is subject to the Council’s Policies and Procedures as adopted and effective at the date of passage of this Ordinance.
SECTION IV: This Ordinance shall take effect upon its passage and approval.
