AN ORDINANCE APPROVING THE OAKDALE NEIGHBORHOOD PLAN AND APPROVING ITS EXECUTIVE SUMMARY AS AN AMENDMENT TO THE CORNERSTONE 2020 COMPREHENSIVE PLAN (CASE NOS. 16NEIGHPLAN1005 & 16NEIGHPLAN1006).

WHEREAS, the Louisville Metro Planning Commission held a public hearing on December 1, 2016 on approving the Oakdale Neighborhood Plan and approving an amendment to the Cornerstone 2020 Comprehensive Plan to incorporate the Plan’s Executive Summary in cases 16NeighPlan1005 and 16NeighPlan1006; and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission found that the Oakdale Neighborhood Plan conforms to the adopted Guidelines and Policies of the Cornerstone 2020 Comprehensive Plan and the incorporation of the Oakdale Neighborhood Plan’s Executive Summary into Cornerstone 2020 also conforms to the adopted Guidelines and Policies of the Cornerstone 2020 Comprehensive Plan; and
WHEREAS, the Legislative Council of the Louisville/Jefferson County Metro Government (the “Council”) has considered the evidence presented at the public hearing held by the Louisville Metro Planning Commission and the recommendations of the Commission and its staff as set out in the minutes and records of the Planning Commission in Case Nos. 16NeighPlan1005 and 16NeighPlan1006; and
WHEREAS, the Council concurs in and adopts the findings and recommendations of the Planning Commission approving the Oakdale Neighborhood Plan and approving an amendment to Cornerstone 2020 to incorporate the Executive Summary of the Oakdale Neighborhood Plan in Case Nos. 16NeighPlan1005 and 16NeighPlan1006, and approves and accepts the recommendations of the Planning Commission as set out in said minutes and records; and
WHEREAS, the Council further finds that the Oakdale Neighborhood Plan was developed with the significant participation of citizens of the Oakdale Neighborhood and an advisory group, and was prepared and adopted in accordance with Chapter 161 of the Louisville Metro Code of Ordinances;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED BY THE LEGISLATIVE COUNCIL OF THE LOUISVILLE/JEFFERSON COUNTY METRO GOVERNMENT AS FOLLOWS:
Section I: That the Oakdale Neighborhood Plan included in the records of the Planning Commission in Case Nos. 16NeighPlan1005 and 16NeighPlan1006 is hereby adopted.
Section II: The Executive Summary of the Oakdale Neighborhood Plan included in the minutes and records of the Planning Commission in Case Nos. 16NeighPlan1005 and 16NeighPlan1006 is hereby adopted as an amendment to the Cornerstone 2020 Comprehensive Plan.
Section III: This Ordinance shall take effect upon its passage and approval.
