WHEREAS, Louisville/Jefferson County Metro Government wishes to take advantage of this funding opportunity through the Emergency Management Agency.

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE LEGISLATIVE COUNCIL OF THE LOUISVILLE/JEFFERSON COUNTY METRO GOVERNMENT (THE COUNCIL) AS FOLLOWS:

 

SECTION I:  The Mayor is hereby authorized to accept $51,728.00 from the Federal Emergency Management Agency Hazard Mitigation Grant Project and $8,276.00 from the Commonwealth of Kentucky, through the Division of Emergency Management.  In addition to the federal and state grant, Louisville/Jefferson County Metro Government will provide the additional amount to fulfill the non-federal share.  All funds will be used by the Emergency Services’ Emergency Management Agency for the Louisville Metro Hazard Mitigation 5 Year Plan Update.

SECTION II:  This Resolution shall become effective upon its passage and approval.
