WHEREAS, William ("Bill") H. Wilson was born on June 14, 1944, a native of Louisville, Kentucky, and he traversed these earthly bounds on March 18, 2003; and
WHEREAS, Bill Wilson was the loving son of the late Richard and Edith Figg Wilson; he was the devoted husband of Sandy Wilson; he was the loving father of five daughters, Michelle, Melanie, Yvette, Toni, and Lisa; he was the adoring and proud grandfather of eight grandchildren; and he also leaves behind a loving aunt and other relatives and friends; and
WHEREAS, Bill Wilson graduated from Central High School in 1963, and he attended the University of Louisville; and
WHEREAS, Bill Wilson was an esteemed member of the Louisville and Jefferson County community, and an active and involved citizen; he was a public servant in the truest sense of the word, and served his community as the Ninth Ward Alderman for 14 years, where he was elected president of the Board of Aldermen for three consecutive years; during his tenure on the Board of Aldermen, he served as chairman of Public Relations for Affirmative Action and Cable TV and as chairman of the Appropriations Committee; he was admired for his courage and tenacity, which was evidenced by his astute leadership in the spearheading of meaningful projects for the betterment of his
community, while advancing proposals to enhance the safety, security, and well-being of his constituents; and
WHEREAS, Bill Wilson was a successful businessman, and he was the owner and creative director of Bill Wilson Productions, Inc., an advertising and public relations agency that engaged in a wide scope of work ra...
