AN ORDINANCE DENYING A TEXT AMENDMENT TO SECTION 6.1.3 OF THE LAND DEVELOPMENT CODE TO REQUIRE A MINIMUM DISTANCE BETWEEN ACCESS ROADWAYS CONNECTING DEVELOPMENTS WITH AN AGGREGATE OF 200 OR MORE DWELLINGS TO THE SAME EXISTING ROADWAY AND BEING IN LOUISVILLE METRO (CASE NO. 16AMEND1011).

WHEREAS, the Louisville Metro Planning Commission held a public hearing on this amendment on July 20, 2017 and unanimously recommended denial of this amendment for the reasons stated in the attached minutes of the Planning Commission hearing; and
WHEREAS, the Council concurs in and adopts the findings of the Planning Commission in Case No. 16AMEND1011 and approves and accepts the recommendations of the Planning Commission as set out in said minutes and records.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED BY THE LEGISLATIVE COUNCIL OF THE LOUISVILLE/JEFFERSON COUNTY METRO GOVERNMENT AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I: A text amendment to Section 6.1.3 of the Land Development Code to require a minimum distance between access roadways connecting developments with an aggregate of 200 or more dwellings to the same existing roadway as shown in the Planning Commission’s record in Case No. 16AMEND1011 and being in Louisville Metro is denied.
SECTION II: This Ordinance shall take effect upon its passage and approval.
