WHEREAS, the University of Louisville holds a solemn place in the heart and soul of Louisville Metro;
WHEREAS, the University of Louisville has contributed to the Louisville Metro area in many ways, among them higher education, research and development, as well as economically;
WHEREAS, millions around the country, and indeed the world, have strong and unyielding ties to and support the University of Louisville;
WHEREAS, a myriad of small, medium and large businesses in Kentuckiana have reaffirmed their support for the University of Louisville;
WHEREAS, Louisville Metro Council supports the full, transparent, and thorough review by the Board of Trustees into the matters now of note; and
WHEREAS, Louisville Metro Council continues and now reinforces its commitment to the University of Louisville in these times of trial.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE LEGISLATIVE COUNCIL OF THE LOUISVILLE/JEFFERSON COUNTY METRO GOVERNMENT AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I: Louisville Metro Council gives full honor and proudly supports the University of Louisville, its students, faculty, staff, alumni and supporters-support that will never waiver. GO CARDS GO!
