A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO ACCEPT A $30,000 GRANT FROM THE KENTUCKY ENERGY AND ENVIRONMENT CABINET, KENTUCKY HERITAGE LAND CONSERVATION FUND BOARD FOR THE GLADECRESS EASEMENT CONSERVATION PROJECT TO BE ADMINISTERED BY THE METRO PARKS DEPARTMENT.

WHEREAS, the Metro Government wishes to enter into this agreement through the Metro Parks Department.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE LEGISLATIVE COUNCIL OF THE LOUISVILLE/JEFFERSON COUNTY METRO GOVERNMENT (THE COUNCIL) AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I: The Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into an agreement with the Kentucky Energy and Environment Cabinet, Kentucky Heritage Land Conservation Fund Board to accept a $30,000 grant to establish a conservation easement of a 26-acre tract in the McNeely Lake Park area to preserve native gladecress.
SECTION II: This Resolution shall take effect upon its passage and approval.
