AN ORDINANCE MOVING THE LOCATION OF THE APRIL 12, 2018 METRO COUNCIL MEETING TO THE AUDITORIUM AT ACADEMY @ SHAWNEE.

WHEREAS, Louisville Metro Council (“Council”) wishes to hold the first of several Metro Council meetings outside the City Hall chambers and in the communities of people we serve;
WHEREAS, the first of these regular Council meetings will be held at 6 pm on April 12, 2018 in the auditorium located at Academy @ Shawnee at 4001 Herman St, Louisville, Kentucky, 40212; and
WHEREAS, Louisville Metro Council Rule 3.02 requires Council to pass an ordinance, by two-thirds vote, approving the location of the meeting be moved; it specifically states, "The Council shall meet in the Council Chambers of City Hall. The place of the meeting shall not be changed except by an ordinance for which two-thirds (2/3) of the members of the Council have voted affirmatively."
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE LEGISLATIVE COUNCIL OF THE LOUISVILLE/JEFFERSON COUNTY METRO GOVERNMENT (“COUNCIL”) AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I: The Council hereby moves the location of its April 12, 2018 regular Council meeting from the Council Chambers of City Hall to the auditorium at Academy @ Shawnee located at 4001 Herman St, Louisville, Kentucky, 40212.
SECTION II: This Ordinance shall take effect upon its passage and approval.
