TITLE
A RESOLUTION PURSUANT TO THE CAPITAL AND OPERATING BUDGET ORDINANCES, APPROVING THE APPROPRIATION TO COMPLETE FUNDING FOR THE FOLLOWING NONCOMPETITIVELY NEGOTIATED PROFESSIONAL SERVICE CONTRACT - IOWA STATE UNIVERSITY - ($105,500.00).

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE LEGISLATIVE COUNCIL OF THE LOUISVILLE/JEFFERSON COUNTY METRO GOVERNMENT (THE COUNCIL) AS FOLLOWS:
WHEREAS, in 2015 the Metro Council appropriated $50,000 of the total contract price of $155,500.00 for a contract between the Metro Government and the Zoo and Iowa State University for the design and display of LEGO brick sculptures for exhibition at the Zoo, said exhibition to be held 5/10/2018 through 9/3/2018; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to the terms of the contract, the remainder of the contract price is now due and payable; and
WHEREAS, funding the remainder of the contract will allow for a premier attraction intended to provide an attractive and entertaining display for Zoo patrons to come to Louisville.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE LEGISLATIVE COUNCIL OF THE LOUISVILLE/JEFFERSON COUNTY METRO GOVERNMENT (THE COUNCIL) AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I: The following appropriation for the listed contract is hereby approved:
ZOO
$105,500.00 to fund the remainder of a noncompetitively negotiated Sole Source with Iowa State University for services regarding the design and display of LEGO brick sculptures for exhibition from July 1, 2015 through September 3, 2018.
SECTION II: This Resolution shall take effect upon its passage and approval.
