BE IT ORDAINED BY THE LEGISLATIVE COUNCIL OF THE LOUISVILLE/JEFFERSON COUNTY METRO GOVERNMENT (“THE COUNCIL”) AS FOLLOWS:

 

SECTION I:  The amount of $10,000$29,000 is hereby appropriated from the District 26 Neighborhood Development Funds in the following manner: $10,000 from District 26; $3,000 from District 3; $2,500 from District 8; $1,500 from Districts 9 and 21; $1,000 from Districts 1, 2, 4, 7, 10, 12, 13, 14, 24, and 25; and $500 from District 6; to the Office for Women for program expenses

SECTION II:  A portion of the appropriations are specifically designated to the following projects:

Community Interactive Learning Website about Suffrage History

($1,000 from District 7; $1,500 from District 9)                                                                                    $2,500

Eviction Diversion Program  

                     ($3,000 from District 3                     )                                                                                                                                                   $3,000

Gen WOW Girls Mentoring Program                                                                                                         

                     ($500 from District 10; $1,000 from Districts 14 and 25)                                          $2,500

Short Changing Women Study

SECTION III:  The Council has determined the funds requested in this Ordinance will be expended for a public purpose.

SECTION III IV:  This grant is subject to the Council’s Policies and Procedures as adopted and effective at the date of passage of this Ordinance.

SECTION IV:                     This Ordinance shall take effect upon its passage and approval.
