TITLE
AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING $5,250 FROM NEIGHBORHOOD DEVELOPMENT FUNDS IN THE FOLLOWING MANNER: $2,000 FROM DISTRICT 15; $500 EACH FROM DISTRICTS 6, 9, 13, AND 21; $250 EACH FROM DISTRICTS 8, 10, 12, 14, AND 24; THROUGH THE OFFICE OF MANAGEMENT AND BUDGET, TO THE FOOD LITERACY PROJECT AT OXMOOR FARM, INC. FOR EXPENSES ASSOCIATED WITH EXPANDING ITS OUTDOOR CLASSROOM AND PROGRAMMING AT THE URBAN FARM, SUPPORT COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT PROGRAMS, PROMOTE THE SOUTH POINTS FARMERS MARKET, AND PURCHASE EQUIPMENT.

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE LEGISLATIVE COUNCIL OF THE LOUISVILLE/JEFFERSON COUNTY METRO GOVERNMENT (THE COUNCIL) AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I: The sum of $5,250 is hereby appropriated from Neighborhood Development Funds in the following manner: $2,000 from District 15; $500 each from Districts 6,9, 13, and 21; and $250 each from Districts 8, 10, 12, 14, and 24; through the Office of Management and Budget, to The Food Literacy Project at Oxmoor Farm, Inc. for expenses associated with expanding its outdoor classroom and programming at the urban farm, support community engagement programs, promote the South Points Farmers Market, and purchase equipment.
SECTION II: The Council has determined the funds requested in this Ordinance will be expended for a public purpose.
SECTION III: This grant is subject to the Council’s Policies and Procedures as adopted and effective at the date of passage of this Ordinance.
SECTION IV: This Ordinance shall take effect upon its passage and approval.
