AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING $19,665 FROM DISTRICT 1 NEIGHBORHOOD DEVELOPMENT FUNDS TO THE CRIMINAL JUSTICE COMMISSION FOR PROGRAMMING NEEDS OF THE OPPORTUNITY NETWORK.

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE LEGISLATIVE COUNCIL OF THE LOUISVILLE/JEFFERSON COUNTY METRO GOVERNMENT (THE COUNCIL) AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I: The sum of $19,665 is hereby appropriated from District 1 Neighborhood Development Funds, to the Criminal Justice Commission in support of programming needs of the Opportunity Network to include the funding of a dedicated staff person within the Criminal Justice Commission to provide administrative and logistical support to the network’s mission of reducing recidivism and promoting self-sufficiency for justice-involved individuals.
SECTION II: The Council has determined the funds requested in this Ordinance will be expended for a public purpose.
SECTION III: This grant is subject to the Council’s Policies and Procedures as adopted and effective at the date of passage of this Ordinance.
SECTION IV: This Ordinance shall take effect upon its passage and approval.
