A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO ACCEPT $24,030 FROM THE AARP’S COMMUNITY CHALLENGE GRANT TO FUND SAFETY AND PUBLIC SPACE UPGRADES ALONG THE 16TH STREET CORRIDOR TO BE ADMINISTERED BY DEVELOP LOUISVILLE

WHEREAS, the Metro Government wishes to enter into this agreement through Develop Louisville
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE LEGISLATIVE COUNCIL OF THE LOUISVILLE/JEFFERSON COUNTY METRO GOVERNMENT (THE COUNCIL) AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I: That the Mayor is hereby authorized to accept $24,030 from the AARP’s Community Challenge Grant, to be administered by Develop Louisville, to fund safety improvements and public space upgrades along the 16th Street Corridor including intersections at Garland Avenue, West Kentucky Street, and Prentice Street.
SECTION II: This Resolution shall take effect upon its passage and approval.
