A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO ACCEPT $203,000 OF FUNDING FROM THE COMMONWEALTH OF KENTUCKY TRANSPORTATION CABINET FOR THE CONSTRUCTION PHASE FOR THE KENWOOD ELEMENTARY SAFE ROUTES TO SCHOOL PROJECT ADMINISTERED BY THE DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS & ASSETS.

WHEREAS, the Metro Government wishes to enter into this agreement through the Department of Public Works & Assets.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE LEGISLATIVE COUNCIL OF THE LOUISVILLE/JEFFERSON COUNTY METRO GOVERNMENT (THE COUNCIL) AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I: The Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into an agreement with the Commonwealth of Kentucky Transportation Cabinet to accept $203,000 of funding for the construction phase for the safe routes to school project along Third Street Road from Clayborne Road to Bruce Avenue serving Kenwood Elementary School and Lassiter Middle School further south.
SECTION II: This Resolution shall take effect upon its passage and approval.
