TITLE
AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING $5,000 FROM DISTRICT 18 NEIGHBORHOOD DEVELOPMENT FUNDS, THROUGH THE OFFICE OF MANAGEMENT AND BUDGET, TO PLAINVIEW RESIDENTS ASSOCIATION, INC. TO REPLACE TREES THAT HAVE DIED AS A RESULT OF THE EMERALD ASH BORER. THIS IS PART OF A LARGER PLAN TO ENHANCE THE TREE CANOPY, ADDING TO OVERALL QUALITY OF LIFE IN THE SURROUNDING AREA.

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE LEGISLATIVE COUNCIL OF THE LOUISVILLE/JEFFERSON COUNTY METRO GOVERNMENT (THE COUNCIL) AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I: The sum of $5,000 is hereby appropriated from District 18 Neighborhood Development Funds, through the Office of Management and Budget, to Plainview Residents Association, Inc. to replace trees that have died as a result of the Emerald Ash Borer. This is part of a larger plan to enhance the tree canopy, adding to overall quality of life in the surrounding area.
SECTION II: The Council has determined the funds requested in this Ordinance will be expended for a public purpose.
SECTION III: This grant is subject to the Council’s Policies and Procedures as adopted and effective at the date of passage of this Ordinance.
SCTION IV: This Ordinance shall take effect upon its passage and approval.
