TITLE
AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING $20,000 FROM NEIGHBORHOOD DEVELOPMENT FUNDS IN THE FOLLOWING MANNER: $15,000 FROM DISTRICT 12 AND $5,000 FROM DISTRICT 14, THROUGH THE OFFICE OF MANAGEMENT AND BUDGET, TO JEFFERSON COUNTY PUBLIC EDUCATION FOUNDATION TO FUND PORTIONS OF A NEW PLAYGROUND AT JOHNSONTOWN ROAD ELEMENTARY WHICH WILL BE OPEN TO THE PUBIC AND SURROUNDING NEIGHBORHOODS.

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE LEGISLATIVE COUNCIL OF THE LOUISVILLE/JEFFERSON COUNTY METRO GOVERNMENT (THE “COUNCIL”) AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I: The sum of $20,000 is hereby appropriated from Neighborhood Development Funds in the following manner: $15,000 from District 12 and $5,000 from District 14, through the Office of Management and Budget, to Jefferson County Public Education Foundation to fund portions of a new playground at Johnsontown Road Elementary which will be open to the public and surrounding neighborhoods.
SECTION II: The Council has determined the funds requested in this Ordinance will be expended for a public purpose.
SECTION III: This grant is subject to the Council’s Policies and Procedures as adopted and effective at the date of passage of this Ordinance.
SECTION IV: This Ordinance shall take effect upon its passage and approval.
