A RESOLUTION HONORING FORMER COUNCILMAN GLEN STUCKEL BY DEDICATING THE LONG RUN GOLF COURSE DRIVING RANGE AS THE "GLEN STUCKEL DRIVING RANGE" IN RECOGNITION OF HIS DEDICATION AND SERVICE TO THE METRO GOLF COURSE PROGRAM, LOUISVILLE METRO COUNCIL DISTRICT 17, AND LOUISVILLE METRO AS A WHOLE.

WHEREAS, Councilman Glen Stuckel served on the Metro Council from 2003 - 2018, totaling 16 years of service and was a part of the first sitting Metro Council after merger;
WHEREAS, Councilman Stuckel appropriated the funds that rehabilitated the Long Run Driving Range and was an advocate for Louisville Metro Golf and an intricate part in starting the "First Tee" program;
WHEREAS, Councilman Stuckel appropriated the funds for a 3-hole, Par 3 course at Long Run Park, to allow for families to play together and learn the great sport of golf; and
WHEREAS, Councilman Stuckel served honorably as the District 17 Representative, and we thank him for his years of service and dedication to the Louisville Metro Golf Program and the city of Louisville.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE LEGISLATIVE COUNCIL OF THE LOUISVILLE/JEFFERSON COUNTY METRO GOVERNMENT AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I: Pursuant to Louisville Metro Code of Ordinances ? 39.033, and in recognition of Councilman Glen Stuckel's contributions to Louisville/Jefferson County Metro Government Parks, the Long Run Golf Course Driving Range is henceforth designated the "Glen Stuckel Driving Range."
SECTION II: The Department of Metro Parks is directed, in conjunction with other necessary Metro Agencies, to move forward with the fabrication and installation of all necessary signage upon the passage of this Resolution and upon the receipt of all necessary funds to cover such expense.
SECTION III: This Resolution shall take effect upon its passage and approval.
