BE IT ORDAINED BY THE LEGISLATIVE COUNCIL OF THE LOUISVILLE/JEFFERSON COUNTY METRO GOVERNMENT (“THE COUNCIL”) AS FOLLOWS:

 

SECTION I:  The sum of 14,000 $40,000 in Neighborhood Development Funds is hereby appropriated in the following manner: $10,000 is hereby appropriated from District 1; Neighborhood Development Funds $5,000 from District 26; $3,000 from District 24; $2,500 from District 17; $2,000 from District 19; $1,500 from District 14; and $1,000 each from Districts 2, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 12, 13, and 15, 16, 18, 20, 21, 22, 23, and 25; to Louisville Metro Police Department to provide funding for the Victim Services Unit which provides emergency shelter and relocation assistance to a crime victim or witness.

SECTION II:                     The Council has determined the funds requested in this Ordinance will be expended for a public purpose.

SECTION III:  This grant is subject to the Council’s Policies and Procedures as adopted and effective at the date of passage of this Ordinance.

SECTION IV:                     This Ordinance shall take effect upon its passage and approval.
