TITLE

WHEREAS, there are currently 1,371 active liquor licenses in Jefferson County;

WHEREAS, there are currently eight Alcoholic Beverage Control officers working for Louisville Metro government; 

WHEREAS, the lack of staffing makes it difficult for ABC to enforce licensing requirements, investigate allegations of license violations, and provide proactive training to establishments; and

WHEREAS, additional ABC staff would help ensure compliance with liquor license requirements and provide capacity to investigate allegations of license violations. 

WHEREAS, the lack of staffing makes it difficult for Codes and Regulations to enforce the current Property Maintenance Code and adequately serve the citizens of Louisville-Jefferson County Metro.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE LEGISLATIVE COUNCIL OF THE LOUISVILLE/JEFFERSON COUNTY METRO GOVERNMENT (“THE COUNCIL”) AS FOLLOWS:

 

SECTION I:                     Part I. Revenues and Funding Sources, of Ordinance 087, Series 2021 is hereby amended as follows:   

SECTION II:  Part I., F. Chiefs of Louisville Forward, 3. Codes and Regulations, of Ordinance No. 087, Series 2021, is hereby amended as follows:
