A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO ACCEPT A DONATION OF $100,000 FROM THE NATURE CONSERVANCY FOR THE IMPLEMENTATION OF CONSULTANT-LED CONCEPTUAL PLANNING AND PUBLIC INPUT RELATED TO THE MILL CREEK 1,000 ACRE PARK TO BE ADMINISTERED BY THE DEPARTMENT OF PARKS AND RECREATION.

WHEREAS, the donation has been approved by The Nature Conservancy; and
WHEREAS, Metro Government wishes to take advantage of this opportunity through the Department of Parks and Recreation.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE LEGISLATIVE COUNCIL OF THE LOUISVILLE/JEFFERSON COUNTY METRO GOVERNMENT AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I: The Mayor is hereby authorized to accept a donation of $100,000 from The Nature Conservancy for the implementation of consultant-led planning and public input related to the Mill Creek 1,000 Acre Park to be administered by the Department of Parks and Recreation.
SECTION II: This Resolution shall take effect upon its passage and approval or otherwise becoming law.
