TITLE
AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING $10,000 FROM DISTRICT 8 NEIGHBORHOOD DEVELOPMENT FUNDS, THROUGH THE OFFICE OF MANAGEMENT AND BUDGET, TO HIGHLANDS COMMUNITY MINISTRIES TO FUND ITS FOOD PANTRY AND LOW-INCOME SENIOR LUNCH PROGRAM STAFF WAGES.

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE LEGISLATIVE COUNCIL OF THE LOUISVILLE/JEFFERSON COUNTY METRO GOVERNMENT (THE “COUNCIL”) AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I: The sum of $10,000 is hereby appropriated from District 8 Neighborhood Development Funds, through the Office of Management and Budget, to Highlands Community Ministries to fund its food pantry and low-income senior lunch program staff wages.
SECTION II: The Council has determined the funds requested in this Ordinance will be expended for a public purpose.
SECTION III: This grant is subject to the Council’s Policies and Procedures as adopted and effective at the date of passage of this Ordinance.
SECTION IV: This Ordinance shall take effect upon its passage and approval or otherwise becoming law.
