TITLE
A RESOLUTION PURSUANT TO THE CAPITAL AND OPERATING BUDGET ORDINANCES APPROVING THE APPROPRIATION TO FUND THE FISCAL YEAR 2023 PORTION OF THE FOLLOWING NONCOMPETITIVELY NEGOTIATED SOLE SOURCE CONTRACT FOR METROSAFE CONCERNING 911 SYSTEM SUPPORT, UPGRADES, MAINTENANCE AND INSTALLATION - (AT&T CORP. - $3,500,000.00).

WHEREAS, in 2018, the Metro Council approved a Sole Source Contract for Metro Safe with AT&T for the 911 system; and
WHEREAS, that contract had a five-year term, subject to annual appropriation of the Metro Council; and
WHEREAS, a further appropriation is required to fund the contract for Fiscal Year 2023.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE LEGISLATIVE COUNCIL OF THE LOUISVILLE/JEFFERSON COUNTY METRO GOVERNMENT AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I: The following appropriation for the listed contract is hereby approved:
METRO SAFE
$3,500,000.00 for the Fiscal Year 2023 portion of a noncompetitively negotiated Sole Source Contract with AT&T Corp. for 911 support, upgrades, installation and maintenance of every component of the managed 911 solution, from July 1, 2022 through June 30, 2023, with an anticipated contract termination date of November 19, 2023, subject to the approval of future appropriations by the Metro Council.
SECTION II: This Resolution shall take effect upon its passage and approval or otherwise becoming law.
