AN ORDER TO APPROVE A $10,000 PERFORMANCE BOND FOR THE LOUISVILLE/JEFFERSON COUNTY METRO GOVERNMENT CLERK.

WHEREAS, in accordance with KRS 67.120, the clerk of the legislative council of a consolidated local government shall execute a bond to be approved by the Council;
WHEREAS, the Legislative Council of the Louisville/Jefferson County Metro Government has determined that a $10,000 Bond is sufficient to insure the faithful performance of Sonya Harward in her capacity as Clerk of the Metro Council; and
WHEREAS, Sonya Harward was re-elected to the position of Clerk of the Metro Council on January 3, 2023 for another one year term; and
WHEREAS, Sonya Harward’s previously executed bond is eligible for renewal every year thereafter for as long as she continues to be re-elected as Clerk of the Metro Council.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDERED BY THE LEGISLATIVE COUNCIL OF THE LOUISVILLE/JEFFERSON COUNTY METRO GOVERNMENT (“METRO COUNCIL”) AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I: The Council approves the renewal of the bond for Sonya Harward, Clerk of the Metro Council, a copy of which is attached hereto.
SECTION II: This Order shall take effect upon its passage and approval.
