TITLE
A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE APPROPRIATION TO FUND AN ANNUAL CONTRACT WITH HR ALLIANCE FOR WORKPLACE INVESTIGATION SERVICES NOT TO EXCEED $20,000.00.

WHEREAS, in 2017, Louisville Metro Code of Ordinances ("LMCO") Section 39.140, regarding the Anonymous Ethics Tip Line, was amended to allow Metro Council members and employees of Metro Council the option to request an investigation if he/she believes that he/she has experienced harassment at work;
WHEREAS, LMCO Section 39.140(F) requires the Louisville Metro Internal Auditor ("Auditor") to administer a contract with a Third Party Investigator who will investigate all complaints from or regarding Metro Council members or employees of Metro Council;
WHEREAS, on November 16, 2018, Metro Council approved HR Alliance as the Third-Party Investigator for Workplace Investigation Services and appropriated the funds needed to execute this contract; and
WHEREAS, per LMCO Section 39.140(F), the Auditor is requesting that Metro Council approve the renewal of the contract with HR Alliance to continue as the Third Party Contractor for Workplace Investigation Services, and appropriate the necessary funds for such.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE LEGISLATIVE COUNCIL OF THE LOUISVILLE/JEFFERSON COUNTY METRO GOVERNMENT ("METRO COUNCIL") AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I: The proposed annual contract with HR Alliance for Workplace Investigation Services is hereby approved by the Metro Council as required in LMCO Section 39.140(F).
SECTION II: The $20,000.00 appropriation is hereby approved for a Service Contract with HR Alliance for Workplace Investigation Services for one year from the date of execution.
SECTION III: This Resolution shall take effect upon its passage and approval or otherwise becoming law.
