WHEREAS, Ms. Anna Wooldridge was President of Shelby Park Neighborhood Association from 2006 to 2011; and
WHEREAS, Prior to being President of her neighborhood association, Ms. Wooldridge ran a summer program from the shelter in Shelby Park for the neighborhood children, serving free lunches to the community; and
WHEREAS, in May of 2006, Ms. Wooldridge graduated from The Citizens' Police Academy and then served on the 4th District Advisory Board for several years; and
WHEREAS, Ms. Wooldridge served as President of the Shelby Park Neighborhood Football League; and
WHEREAS, Ms. Wooldridge served as President of the Louisville Coalition of Neighborhoods in 2009; and
WHEREAS, Ms. Wooldridge has volunteered with New Directions and Project Warm programs; and
WHEREAS, Ms. Wooldridge is one of the very first people to attend and graduate from The Neighborhood Institute, a program designed to increase participation of residents in their local community; and
WHEREAS, Ms. Wooldridge has been the block watch captain for the 600 Block of Camp Street for as long as anyone can remember; and
WHEREAS, Ms. Wooldridge is recognized and admired as a fearless woman who refused to let the Shelby Park Neighborhood Association die. She loves her neighborhood and Shelby Park with her whole heart.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE LEGISLATIVE COUNCIL OF THE LOUISVILLE/JEFFERSON COUNTY METRO GOVERNMENT AS FOLLOWS:

SECTION I: Anna Wooldridge's dedicated service and commitment to Louisville Metro is hereby recognized with the placement of an honorary street sign on South Clay Street and Camp Street, Louisville Kentucky and so designated as "Anna Wooldridge Way".
