AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING $1,000 FROM NEIGHBORHOOD DEVELOPMENT FUNDS IN THE FOLLOWING MANNER: $1,000 FROM DISTRICT 6; THROUGH THE OFFICE OF MANAGEMENT AND BUDGET, TO VOLUNTEERS OF AMERICA MID-STATES, INC. FOR COSTS ASSOCIATED WITH ITS 2026 H.E.R.O. RUN TO BE HELD MAY 30, 2026.

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE LEGISLATIVE COUNCIL OF THE LOUISVILLE/JEFFERSON COUNTY METRO GOVERNMENT (“THE COUNCIL”) AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I: The sum of $1,000 is hereby appropriated from Neighborhood Development Funds in the following manner: $1,000 from District 6; through the Office of Management and Budget, to Volunteers of America Mid-States, Inc. for costs associated with its 2026 H.E.R.O. Run to be held May 30, 2026.
SECTION II: The Council has determined the funds requested in this Ordinance will be expended for a public purpose.
SECTION III: This grant is subject to the Council’s Policies and Procedures as adopted and effective at the date of passage of this Ordinance.
SECTION IV: This Ordinance shall take effect upon its passage and approval or otherwise becoming law.
