A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO ACCEPT A TOTAL OF $6,500 FROM HUMANA, LOUISVILLE METROPOLITAN SEWER DISTRICT, AND THE BROWN-FORMAN CORPORATION FOR THE SPONSORSHIP OF THE EARTH FEST TO BE ADMNISTERED BY THE OFFICE OF SUSTAINABILITY.

WHEREAS, Humana seeks to donate $500 for the sponsorship of the Earth Fest; and
WHEREAS, Louisville Metropolitan Sewer District seeks to donate $1,000 for the sponsorship; and
WHEREAS, the Brown-Forman Corporation seeks to donate $5,000 for the sponsorship; and
WHEREAS, Louisville Metro Government wishes to take advantage of this opportunity through the Office of Sustainability.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE LEGISLATIVE COUNCIL OF THE LOUISVILLE/JEFFERSON COUNTY METRO GOVERNMENT (THE COUNCIL) AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I: The Mayor is hereby authorized to accept a total of $6,500 from Humana, Louisville Metropolitan Sewer District, and the Brown-Forman Corporation for the sponsorship of the Earth Fest to be administered by the Office of Sustainability.
SECTION II: This Resolution shall take effect upon its passage and approval or otherwise becoming law.
