A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO ACCEPT FUNDS TOTALING $265,000 FROM THE UNITED STATES TENNIS ASSOCIATION (USTA) FOR THE RECONSTRUCTION OF TEN (10) TENNIS COURTS AT SENECA PARK TO BE ADMINISTERED BY THE DEPARTMENT OF PARKS AND RECREATION.

WHEREAS, the United States Tennis Association (USTA) provides grant funding to communities to enhance tennis facilities, expand programming, and improve access to tennis opportunities; and
WHEREAS, Louisville Metro Government has been awarded $265,000 in USTA Tennis Venue Services funding for the reconstruction of ten (10) tennis courts at Seneca Park; and
WHEREAS, the Louisville Metro Government wishes to take advantage of this opportunity through the Department of Parks and Recreation.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE LEGISLATIVE COUNCIL OF THE LOUISVILLE/JEFFERSON COUNTY METRO GOVERNMENT AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I: The Mayor is hereby authorized to accept a grant in the amount of $265,000 from the United States Tennis Association for the reconstruction of ten (10) tennis courts at Seneca Park to be administered by the Department of Parks and Recreation.
SECTION II: This Resolution shall take effect upon its passage and approval or otherwise becoming law.
