AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING $10,000 FROM DISTRICT 3 NEIGHBORHOOD DEVELOPMENT FUNDS TO METRO PARKS TO FUND THE GYMS NOT JAILS PROGRAM TO BE HELD JUNE 23 TO AUGUST 4, 2026 AT THE SOUTH LOUISVILLE COMMUNITY CENTER.

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE LEGISLATIVE COUNCIL OF THE LOUISVILLE/JEFFERSON COUNTY METRO GOVERNMENT (“THE COUNCIL”) AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I: The sum of $10,000 from District 3 Neighborhood Development Funds to Metro Parks to fund the Gyms Not Jails program to be held June 23 to August 4, 2026 at the South Louisville Community Center.
SECTION II: The Council has determined the funds requested in this Ordinance will be expended for a public purpose.
SECTION III: This grant is subject to the Council’s Policies and Procedures as adopted and effective at the date of passage of this Ordinance.
SECTION IV: This Ordinance shall take effect upon its passage and approval or otherwise becoming law.
