A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO ACCEPT $25,000 FROM THE NATIONAL LEAGUE OF CITIES INSTITUTE (NLCI) AS PART OF THE BUILDING ECONOMIC RESILIENCE IN COMMUNITIES PROGRAM TO BE ADMINISTERED BY THE OFFICE OF SOCIAL SERVICES

WHEREAS, the Legue of Cities Institute (NLCI) will provide funding to
support costs associated with testing ideas, planning projects, and supporting existing strategies that respond to community needs and advance economic resilience through the usage of Community Resilience Centers.
WHEREAS, the Metro Government wishes to take advantage of this opportunity through the Office of Social Services.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE LEGISLATIVE COUNCIL OF THE LOUISVILLE/JEFFERSON COUNTY METRO GOVERNMENT AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I: The Mayor is hereby authorized to accept $25,000 from the National League of Cities Institute (NLCI) as part of the Building Economic Resilience in Communities Program to be administered by the Office of Social Services.
SECTION II: This Resolution shall take effect upon its passage and approval or otherwise becoming law.
