A RESOLUTION APPOINTING DAVID JAMES AS METRO COUNCIL’S REPRESENTATIVE TO THE WEST END OPPORTUNITY PARTNERSHIP BOARD.

WHEREAS, the 2021 Kentucky General Assembly enacted House Bill 321, codified at KRS 65.500 through KRS 65.506, which created the West End Opportunity Partnership (WEOP) for the purpose of enhancing economic development in the west end of Louisville; and
WHEREAS, KRS 65.503 provides that operations of the WEOP will be governed by a board, whose members are detailed in the statute; and
WHEREAS, KRS 65.503(1)(b) provides that a member of Metro Council appointed by that body shall serve on the WEOP board for a term of three years.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE LEGISLATIVE COUNCIL OF THE LOUISVILLE/JEFFERSON COUNTY METRO GOVERNMENT (“COUNCIL”) AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I: Pursuant to KRS 65.503(1)(b), Council President David James be, and hereby is, appointed to serve as the Metro Council representative on the West End Opportunity Partnership Board.
SECTION II: This Resolution shall take effect upon its passage.
