TITLE
A RESOLUTION RELATING TO THE CONVEYANCE OF PROPERTY OWNED BY THE LOUISVILLE/JEFFERSON COUNTY BOARD OF HEALTH.

WHEREAS, on October 6, 1976, the City of Louisville conveyed real estate located at 2215 Portland Avenue to the Louisville/Jefferson County Board of Health ("Board");
WHEREAS, the parcel at 2215 Portland Avenue contains the U.S. Marine Hospital Building, a large building occupied by tenant Family Health Centers, Inc. ("FHC") and a few smaller buildings;
WHEREAS, the Board has leased the entire parcel and all buildings at 2215 Portland Ave to FHC since September 26, 1990 for a nominal fee of $1.00 per year;
WHEREAS, FHC is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit established by the Board to ensure that all residents of Jefferson County have access to primary health care;
WHEREAS, FHC has been responsible for the maintenance and upkeep, all repairs and the insurance of the property and all its buildings;
WHEREAS, FHC would like to finish the restoration of the properties and take advantage of any historic tax credits that may be available;
WHEREAS, the Board wants to convey the property at 2215 Portland Avenue to FHC;
WHEREAS, on May 18, 1967 the Urban Renewal and Community Development Agency of Louisville conveyed the property at 400 East Gray Street to the Board;
WHEREAS, this conveyance covers the entire parcel bounded by Gray, Jackson and Preston Streets as well as the alley that runs parallel to Gray Street;
WHEREAS, the Board wants to convey the property at 400 East Gray Street to Louisville/Jefferson County Metro Government ("Louisville Metro Government");
WHEREAS, the Board owns an undeveloped parcel in South Jefferson County, (parcel identification number: 104800160000);
