TITLE
A RESOLUTION HONORING APOSTLE RAYMOND J. KEITH JR. BY DEDICATING THE SOUTHWEST CORNER OF 17TH AND PRENTICE STREETS, AND THE SOUTHEAST CORNER OF 18TH AND PRENTICE STREETS AS "APOSTLE RAYMOND J. KEITH JR. WAY" IN HIS HONOR.

WHEREAS, Apostle Raymond J. Keith Jr. has been an ordained minister for Refuge in Kentucky since October 23, 1976 in Louisville, KY; and
WHEREAS, Apostle Raymond J. Keith Jr. has displayed untiring service while feeding and clothing the community; and
WHEREAS, Apostle Raymond J. Keith Jr's vison and work includes establishing transition homes for the homeless, bible college, trade schools, and services for children; and
WHEREAS, under Apostle Raymond J. Keith Jr.'s leadership, Refuge in Kentucky became known as "the church in the heart of the city, with the people of the city in its heart;" and
WHEREAS, during Apostle Raymond J. Keith Jr.'s ministry, God placed a bigger vision on his heart that would create greater opportunities and more services which helped the community grow; and
WHEREAS, the Council is grateful for Apostle Raymond J. Keith Jr.'s service and dedication to our community and thanks him for his service.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE LEGISLATIVE COUNCIL OF THE LOUISVILLE/JEFFERSON COUNTY METRO GOVERNMENT AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I: Apostle Raymond J. Keith Jr.'s dedicated service and commitment to Louisville Metro is hereby recognized with the placement of two honorary street signs
on the southwest corner of 17th and Prentice Streets, and on the southeast corner of 18th and Prentice Streets in Louisville, Kentucky and so designated as "Apostle Raymond J. Keith Jr. Way."
SECTION II: The Department of Public Works is hereby directed to move forward with the fabrication and installation of the honorary signs upon the passage of this Resolution and the receipt of funds to cover the expense...
