AN ORDINANCE CONCERNING THE ADOPTION OF THE BOWMAN AREA NEIGHBORHOODS PLAN AND APPROVING ITS EXECUTIVE SUMMARY AS AN AMENDMENT TO THE PLAN 2040 COMPREHENSIVE PLAN (CASE NO. 19AREAPLAN0003).

WHEREAS, the Louisville Metro Planning Commission ("Planning Commission") held a public hearing on January 23, 2020 on approving the Bowman Area Neighborhoods Plan and approving an amendment to the Plan 2040 Comprehensive Plan ("Plan 2040") to incorporate the Bowman Area Neighborhoods Plan's Executive Summary in Case No. 19AREAPLAN0003; and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission found that the Bowman Area Neighborhoods Plan conforms to the adopted Guidelines and Policies of Plan 2040 and the incorporation of the Bowman Area Neighborhoods Plan's Executive Summary into Plan 2040 also conforms to the adopted Guidelines and Policies of Plan 2040; and
WHEREAS, the Legislative Council of the Louisville/Jefferson County Metro Government (the "Council") has considered the evidence presented at the public hearing held by the Planning Commission and the recommendations of the Planning Commission and its staff as set out in the minutes and records of the Planning Commission in Case No. 19AREAPLAN0003; and
WHEREAS, the Council concurs in and adopts the findings and recommendations of the Planning Commission approving the Bowman Area Neighborhoods Plan and approving an amendment to Plan 2040 to incorporate the Executive Summary of the Bowman Area Neighborhoods Plan in Case No. 19AREAPLAN0003, and approves and accepts the recommendations of the Planning Commission as set out in said minutes and records.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED BY THE LEGISLATIVE COUNCIL OF THE LOUISVILLE/JEFFERSON COUNTY METRO GOVERNMENT AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I: That the Bowman Area Neighborhoods Plan included in the records of the Planning Commission in Case No. 19AREAPLAN0003 is hereby adopted.
