A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO ACCEPT $50,000 FROM THE UNITED STATES DEPARTMENT OF INTERIOR NATIONAL PARK SERVICE FOR THE SURVEY AND LISTING OF THE CHICKASAW NEIGHBORHOOD ON THE NATIONAL REGISTER PROJECT TO BE ADMINISTERED BY DEVELOP LOUISVILLE.

WHEREAS, the Metro Government wishes to enter into this agreement through Develop Louisville.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE LEGISLATIVE COUNCIL OF THE LOUISVILLE/JEFFERSON COUNTY METRO GOVERNMENT (THE COUNCIL) AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I: The Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into an agreement with the US Department of Interior to accept $50,000 of National Park Service funds to conduct an in-depth research and field survey of Louisville’s historic Chickasaw Neighborhood for consideration to be listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
SECTION II: This Resolution shall take effect upon its passage and approval.
