AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING $10,000 FROM DISTRICT 2 NEIGHBORHOOD DEVELOPMENT FUND FOR FIRST NEIGHBORHOOD PLACE TO HELP SENIORS AND LOW-INCOME INDIVIDUALS FINANCIALLY WITH OUTSTANDING BILLS, NECESSARY HOME REPAIRS, AND OTHER SIMILAR FINANCIAL ISSUES.

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE LEGISLATIVE COUNCIL OF THE LOUISVILLE/JEFFERSON COUNTY METRO GOVERNMENT (THE COUNCIL) AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I: The amount of $10,000 is hereby appropriated from the District 2 Neighborhood Development Fund, through the Office of Management and Budget, to the First Neighborhood Place to help seniors and low-income individuals financially with outstanding bills, necessary home repairs, and other similar financial issues.
SECTION II: The Council has determined the funds requested in this Ordinance will be expended for a public purpose.
SECTION III: This grant is subject to the Council’s Policies and Procedures as adopted and effective at the date of passage of this Ordinance.
SECTION IV: This Ordinance shall take effect upon its passage and approval.
