A RESOLUTION OF THE LOUISVILLE METRO COUNCIL AMENDING THE METRO COUNCIL POLICIES AND PROCEDURES TO ADOPT AN EMPLOYEE HANDBOOK.

WHEREAS, Metro Council is committed to providing a safe work environment for its employees and members; and
WHEREAS, Metro Council desires to establish a comprehensive set of policies and practices to guide employees in the workplace.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE LEGISLATIVE COUNCIL OF THE LOUISVILLE/JEFFERSON COUNTY METRO GOVERNMENT (THE COUNCIL) AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I: The Louisville Metro Council Policies and Procedures are hereby amended to add the following section:
Section 31. Metro Council believes good governance includes the adoption of comprehensive polices for Metro Council staff and employees. To that end, Metro Council adopts the Employee Handbook, which appears as Attachment J to these Policies and Procedures. A copy of the Employee Handbook shall be provided to all Metro staff and employees.
SECTION II: This Resolution shall take effect upon its passage and approval.
