TITLE
AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING $10,000 FROM DISTRICT 2 NEIGHBORHOOD DEVELOPMENT FUNDS TO THE LOUISVILLE METRO POLICE DEPARTMENT, 6TH DIVISION, FOR OVERTIME HOURS ACCRUED DUE TO AN EXTRA PATROL IN THE NEWBURG AND NORFOLK NEIGHBORHOODS TO CUT DOWN ON SPEEDING AND RECKLESS DRIVING.

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE LEGISLATIVE COUNCIL OF THE LOUISVILLE/JEFFERSON COUNTY METRO GOVERNMENT (THE “COUNCIL”) AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I: The sum of $10,000 from District 2 Neighborhood Development Funds to the Louisville Metro Police Department, 6th Division, for overtime hours accrued due to an extra patrol in the Newburg and Norfolk neighborhoods to cut down on speeding and reckless driving.
SECTION II: The Council has determined the funds requested in this Ordinance will be expended for a public purpose.
SECTION III: This grant is subject to the Council’s Policies and Procedures as adopted and effective at the date of passage of this Ordinance.
SECTION IV: This Ordinance shall take effect upon its passage and approval.
