WHEREAS, on November 23, 2016 the Louisville Gas and Electric Company ("LG&E") filed an application with the Kentucky Public Service Commission ("PSC") for authority to increase the electric and gas rates for residents across its electric and gas service territory, which includes all the residents of Jefferson County;

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE LEGISLATIVE COUNCIL OF THE LOUISVILLE/JEFFERSON COUNTY METRO GOVERNMENT (THE COUNCIL) AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I: Louisville Metro Council encourages the Louisville Metro Government to intervene in LG&E's rate case with the PSC to argue against high fixed charges and in favor of the most fair and equitable rates for Louisville Metro residents.
SECTION II: This Resolution shall take effect upon its passage and approval.
