TITLE
AN EMERGENCY RESOLUTION URGING THE FISCHER ADMINISTRATION TO RELEASE 911 CALLS AND CALL LOGS RELATED TO 3003 SPRINGFIELD DRIVE ON MARCH 13, 2020 (AS AMENDED).

WHEREAS, on March 13, 2020, the Louisville Metro Police Department served a search warrant at 3003 Springfield Drive; and
WHEREAS, during the service of this search warrant Breonna Taylor was tragically killed by gun fire; and
WHEREAS, complete transparency is needed in this case, in order to help maintain confidence of the public in the investigation; and
WHEREAS, the administration of Mayor Fischer has refused to release an otherwise publicly available public record, that being the 911 calls related to 3003 Springfield Drive on March 13th, 2020; and
WHEREAS, this Resolution requires emergency consideration as authorized by Council Rule 7.01 in order that the public can more quickly understand part of what happened on that tragic evening morning of March 13, 2020 at 3003 Springfield Drive.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE LEGISLATIVE COUNCIL OF THE LOUISVILLE/JEFFERSON COUNTY METRO GOVERNMENT ("THE COUNCIL") AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I: The Council calls on the Fischer administration to release all 911 audio calls and call log related to 3003 Springfield Road on March 13, 2020.
SECTION II: This Resolution shall take effect upon its passage and approval.
